About this deal

TONY Macaulay's first bestselling memoir Paperboy spawned a terrific musical with music by Duke Special and words by Andrew Doyle which had two sell-out runs in Belfast. The Bee Gees fill the airwaves, everyone is in love with Princess Leia, and Breadboy s love of peace and pets is soon rivalled by his interest in parallel universes and punk.

They design distinctive home and kitchenware that is sure to turn your friends green with envy, no matter which of the colours you choose. This experience inspired me to ask Juvens if he would collaborate with me on a story of reconciliation. The musical version of Paperboy had two sell-out runs at the Lyric Theatre in the summers of 2018 and 2019 and the Breadboy production is set to run at the same venue from July 28 to July 31, 2022. When Breadboy Tony Macaulay was growing up on the Shankill in the 70s, the Troubles were ever-present and times were hard.

He said I was a good, honest boy because I went to church after getting saved at the Good News Club on my holidays at the caravan in Millisle.

Both worked on Paperboy too, with Duke Special, aka Peter Wilson, composing the music and Doyle writing the lyrics. On that day, I was privileged to visit a local village to hear stories of reconciliation from perpetrators and survivors of the genocide. Ventilation holes in the back of the bin allow just the right amount of air circulation to keep your bread in the best possible condition. There were some nice moments and songs, though, in this rites of passage tale of the teenager working the Ormo bread van. At first I enjoyed the power and novelty of being able to send out diddledee dings to the people of the Upper Shankill at five-minute intervals every Saturday morning. Tony Macaulay captures life in Belfast in the late 1970s with such accuracy and humour that every page is great read, although it does help if you've grown up in Northern Ireland yourself. He took a Sunday School class, taught the Bible to the Boys’ Brigade on a Sunday morning (even when some of the boys were still hung-over from a bottle of Mundies up an entry the night before) and he looked after all the money in the church.
