Udonna is covered and bonded by several vines and is unconscious. Itassis walks up and is surprise that Hekatoid captured Udonna, although she images it was easy because Udonna did not have her Snow Staff. Hekatoid tells Itassis it doesn't matter, he still captured her. Itassis tells Hekatoid he should have informed Sculpin of his capture. Hekatoid tells her no, Udonna is his safeguard. Itassis warns Hekatoid that having Udonna in the Inner Sanctum changes it. Soga is most well known for playing Witch Bandora in Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger and by extension Rita Repulsa in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers but the Mystic Mother's counterpart Heavenly Arch Saint Magiel had no relation to Bandora besides having the same actress. In the Power Rangers adaptation, this was changed to have the Mystic Mother be Rita herself as a tribute to Soga who died of pancreatic cancer during the Mystic Force's production with Magiel being her final acting role.

They soon encounter Gnatu and her monster, Spydex. The Rangers battle Spydex and at one point they have the life force, but they lose it once more to Gnatu. The Rangers chase down Gnatu and Spydex. On the surface world, Solaris Knight and Jenji are still using the furnace blast on the clouds filled with poisonous tadpoles, although they are running out of energy. At Root Core, Udonna has the teens going through some trust exercises, which are going well until Clare walks in with baby Fire Heart - the boys & Vida then surround Clare and coo over Fire Heart; Madison, unaware, continues with the exercise and lands on the floor - Udonna then helps her up. The crystal ball alerts the teens to dark magic in the woods and they immediately leave to investigate.Furnace Blast (Flames): Sometimes from its chest, it can also launch a stream of flames at the enemy. In Briarwood, Matoombo does not strike Vida. The huge electric ball he created is heading towards them, and instead, Matoombo destroys the electric ball. Vida is thrilled that she was right about Matoombo, while Xander is greatly relieved. Suddenly, Matoombo is hit with purple lasers all around him. Matoombo falls and rolls down the hill. Matoombo is dazed and wonders what had happened to him. Itassis and Gekkor walk up to Matoombo and question him as to why he had save the child. Itassis tells Matoombo the Master has chosen him to be his vessel. Gekkor questions whether Matoombo still works for the Master. Matoombo tells him he no longer works for the Master. Following S.P.D., whose episodes had one word titles, Mystic Force's episodes (with the exception of The Snow Prince) all have two words in them as an in-joke to director Bruce Kalish. This is the second and final Power Rangers season to have a female Blue Ranger, the first being Ninja Storm.

Brightstar was known as "Steerdergon" and the Phoenix Unizord was known as the "Steerdergon Fury Megazord" in the toyline. Of the Zords and Megazords in Mystic Force, the Unizord and the Phoenix Unizord are the Zords that have the least amount of appearances, as they appear in only 1 out of the 32 episodes of Mystic Force. The Phoenix unizord is also one of the few megazords in the series to be used only once.

With their powers stolen by Hekatoid, the Ranger teens find reassurance in the most unlikely of places. Meanwhile, Leelee, Clare, and Phineas attempt to rescue Udonna! And to top things off, the rest of the Terrors take turns trying to pry the Master's essence from an exposed Koragg.
